I'm just a mom who loves AI and wanted to share something fun with other parents. Elf Plans is a personal project - not a big company, not a data-hungry platform. Just me, trying to make December a little easier for families like yours.

✨ Our Promise to You

We don't store your information. Period. Your family details, your kids' names, your elf's personality - it all stays in your browser (localStorage) and never touches our servers. We use AI to generate your plan, but we don't save or remember anything about you.

What We DON'T Do

  • ❌ We don't store your family information
  • ❌ We don't track your browsing habits
  • ❌ We don't sell your data (because we don't have any!)
  • ❌ We don't use cookies for tracking
  • ❌ We don't share your information with anyone
  • ❌ We don't create user profiles or accounts (unless you choose to register)

How It Actually Works

When you use Elf Plans, here's what happens:

  1. You chat with our AI - The conversation happens in your browser and is sent to our AI provider (OpenRouter/Anthropic) to generate your plan.
  2. Your plan is generated - The AI creates your personalized plan based on what you tell it, then sends it back to your browser.
  3. Everything stays local - Your plan and family information are saved in your browser's localStorage. We never see it, we never store it.
  4. That's it! - No accounts required (unless you want premium features), no data collection, no tracking.

Third-Party Services

We use a few services to make Elf Plans work:

  • OpenRouter/Anthropic: Powers our AI. They process your conversation to generate your plan, but they don't store it or use it for training.Read their privacy policy
  • Stripe: Handles payments if you upgrade to premium. They process your payment securely - we never see your card details.Read their privacy policy
  • Vercel: Hosts our website. Standard web hosting stuff.

If You Create an Account

Creating an account is completely optional. If you do choose to register (for premium features or to save your plan across devices), we use Supabase for authentication. They store your email and password (encrypted, of course). That's it. We still don't store your family information or elf plans - those stay in your browser.

Children's Privacy

Elf Plans is designed for parents to use. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. Since we don't store information anyway, this is pretty straightforward - but we want you to know we take kids' privacy seriously.

Changes to This Policy

If we ever change how we handle privacy (which we don't plan to!), we'll update this page. The date at the top will tell you when it was last updated.
